What are the advantages of booking through this website?

When and how should I pay for my stay at Les Brisants?
We require a 20% deposit at the time of booking. You can pay by credit card (secure online payment) or by bank transfer (bank details will be provided after booking). This deposit will be fully refunded if you cancel your booking more than 30 days before the start of your stay. We will contact you one month before the start of your stay to request payment of the remaining balance. You can pay this by credit card (secure payment) or by bank transfer.

What are the terms of the security deposit?
We require a security deposit of €700 to cover the highly unlikely possibility of damage, deterioration, or loss during your rental period. To facilitate and secure this process, we use the online service Swikly, which allows you to easily and freely deposit your security deposit by credit card authorization, without any upfront payment (you will not be charged the requested amount) or impacting your credit card limit. A link to deposit your security deposit will be sent to you one week before your arrival. The deposit will automatically expire a few days after your departure.

Is it possible to cancel my reservation?
Our cancellation policy is flexible. Cancellation is completely free up to 30 days before the scheduled arrival date.

Are there any shops and restaurants near Les Brisants?
Absolutely, the villa is ideally located just steps from one of the most popular and lively tourist spots on Île d'Oléron: the picturesque fishing port of La Cotinière. You'll have easy access to numerous shops and restaurants on foot. Please note, however, that some of them may be closed outside of peak season.

Are bed linens and towels included?
Yes, at Brisants linen is provided at no extra charge and you will find the beds made upon your arrival.

Is the villa suitable for families?
At Les Brisants, families and young children are welcome. Children stay free of charge, even beyond the villa's maximum occupancy (8 people), provided they sleep in cribs. A complete baby equipment kit (crib, sheets and bath cape, high chair, baby bath, bottle warmer, child-sized cutlery, etc.) is available upon request for an additional fee (see our "Extras" section).

Are pets allowed?
Of course! Pets are welcome at Brisants free of charge upon request.

Is there Wi-Fi ?
Absolutely! Les Brisants has a fast, reliable and free Wi-Fi connection.

Do you provide free household and emergency grocery items?
At Brisants you will find samples of everything you need for a smooth start to your stay in case you forget something or before going shopping: coffees, teas, infusions, chocolates, sugar, oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, sauces and jams, sponges and cloths, dishwashing liquid and cleaning products, paper towels, tissues, napkins, toilet paper, hand soap, shower gel and shampoo… and much more.

Are there any mandatory additional fees?
Only the tourist tax, paid to the local council, is imposed and automatically added to the booking price. The additional paid services offered for your enjoyment on this site (aperitif kit, romantic getaway kit, baby equipment, etc.) are entirely optional.

Is smoking allowed in the villa?
For everyone's comfort, the villa is entirely non-smoking, but an ashtray is available for smokers on the outdoor terrace.

What are the arrival and departure times?
Check-in is from 4 pm and check-out is before 10 am. However, outside of peak season, we will be happy to offer you an early check-in and/or late check-out if our booking schedule allows. Please feel free to contact us about this.

Is it possible to arrive late in the evening or at night?
Absolutely. We use a secure key box system that allows for independent check-in even at very late hours.

Is parking easy and free on site?
Yes, the villa has a closed garage (for bicycles or a small car) and two private parking spaces in the driveway in front of the garage.
